Past Litters

Whilst some of each litter have remained with us, all other puppies have gone on and been placed in loving family homes with many of them achieving at various fields also.

LITTER 1 - The Beginning

Sire - “Thunder” - Dual Ch (T) Vimtar Thunder Lord TSDX HT (Tri Rough)

Dam - “Minnie” -Ch Foxbell Miss Finland (Blue Merle Smooth)

Whelped 17-03-2011

8 Pups - 4 M; 4F; 5 Roughs and 3 Smooths.

Named with a Tracking Theme as Sire was first Tracking Champion Collie Rough in Australia and Dam had connections to another Tracking Champion.

 

The whole litter 1 week old and 6 week old outside Puppy play pen.

“Shadow” - T CH TS GRAND Ch Brafferton Followed Bya Shadow RN HSAs [NTD] - (Tri Rough M) owned by Brafferton Kennels handled by myself went onto become the first Collie Rough in Australia to achieve the TS CH (Track & Search Champion) Title as well as the TS GRAND CH (Track& Search Grand Champion) Title.

Track and Search - TSD (Track and Search Dog) Title - 26/04/2015: TSDX (Track and Search Dog Excellent Title) - 04/07/2015: TS CH (Track and Search Champion) Title - 02/10/2015: TS Grand Ch (Track and Search Grand Champion) Title - 24/10/2015. Passed a Total of 10 Tests to gain TS Grand CH.

Rally - RN (Rally Novice) Title - 19/04/2014

Novice Trick Dog - [NTD] - This Title is not a recognised  ANKC Title, hence it is in brackets after his name, however it is recognised by the Canadian and American Kennel Clubs. - achieved July  2020

Tracking - TD (Tracking Dog) Title - 14/09/2014: Passed Test 4 on 16/05/2015: Passed Test 5 on 16/05/2015 on a track on. Has not tracked since as now residing with my Son.

“Finda” - Brafferton Path Finder (HIC) - (Blue Rough F) lives with my son and his partner, was handled by myself. (Now in Qld)

Named with a Sea Theme, as at the time we lived on the Mornington Peninsula between 2 bays and also my son and his partner were both in the Navy at the Cerberus Naval Base and have had Finda and Ranger living with them when not at sea.

The Whole litter at 1 week old and later at 6 weeks old outside play time.

This litter was done on behalf of Esther Smedley owner of Navi and was originally planned to be in the prefix of Esther, but due to numerous reasons, Navi was leased back into my prefix.  As Navi is very attached to Esther it was decided it would be better for her to remain in the care of Esther rather than come to the new place she did not know that we had recently shifted too.  This is a special litter as both the Sire and Dam have very good work ethic and we felt the temperaments complimented each other as well.  This litter is therefore rather special for Esther, myself as well as Shelley Donald of Orthanc Prefix, the owner of the Sire, as it is his first litter too.

Litter 3 was  named with a Winter Theme as born on a wild windy winter night and around Pet names which were chosen by Esther’s Grandson from Paw Patrol and another of his favourite shows.

The whole litter at 6 days old and some of the litter playing outside at 6 weeks 2 days old.

“Ava” - (AKA Avian) - DUAL CH (T) Brafferton Winter Bird  (HIC) - (Tri Smooth F) owned by Brafferton Kennels (Vic) handled by myself.  [I kept the name Ava (Avian) chosen by Esthers grandson as it also means Life and Latin for Bird and she had a white bird marking on the back of her neck instead of a white collar.]
